Teachers and students from the No. 3 Primary School in Xinjiang's Turpan City jointly painted Beijing Olympic mascots "Five Friendlies" on a wall on Nov. 21, 2005.
On that day, the "Five Friendlies" wall, which is 20.08 meters long and 2.5 meters tall, was completed. As the 2008 Olympic mascots were not available temporarily in Turpan, the primary school decided to organize its teachers and students to jointly paint a "Five Friendlies" wall in order to satisfy its students' enthusiasm about the "Five Friendlies."
