Twelve foreigners living in eastern China's Shandong Province have received their "Chinese Green Cards", becoming the province's first green card holders.
The foreigners are from seven countries including America, Canada, and Germany, some of whom are long-term businessmen.
Currently there are over 30,000 foreigners working and living in Shandong.
The "Chinese Green Card" allows foreigners to stay in China for an unlimited period of time, and enter or leave the country with no need to obtain new visas.
