China's Top-Class Brands
2005-10-31 14:52:50    CRIENGLISH.com
"Global top-class brands" and "China's top-class brands" unveiled themselves recently.
According to Beijing Evening News, Lenovo, Great Wall Wine, Chunghwa Cigarette, Chow Tai Fook Jewelry, GiorgioAr-mani, LV and Gucci made the lists.

The two lists were made by renowned US survey institution The Gallup Organization, and the 21st Century Business Herald.

The survey targeted businesspeople with an annual revenue of over 500,000 yuan (US$61,650) and ordinary consumers and covered nearly 300 domestic and foreign brands. Chinese brands which made the list include Lenovo, Great Wall Wine, Chunghwa Cigarette, Chow Tai Fook Jewelry, Li-Ning, Goldlion, TCL, Youngor, Dopod and Swellfun.

Experts believe the fact that Great Wall Wine made the list indicates that wine culture featuring high-end social intercourse has been recognized by China's high-end consumers and the wine consumer group has basically formed in China.

China's luxury market is not confined by garments and electronic products, which are considered as "symbol of social status" and is developing towards consumer goods which represent lifestyle.
