On climate change, recent surveys show 9 out of 10 people in China know at least a little about it, thinking low carbon is relevant to daily life, while half of the Americans are debating with the other half on whether climate change is due to human engagement.

The huge difference between the people living in the two world leading CO2 emitting countries shows that how important it is to better communicate with the public on the climate change issue in a global scale.

Anthony Leiserowitz and Susanne Moser are two leading scientists in finding better ways to inform and constructively engage the public in decisions that affect their future life.

Together with scores of other experts from China, United States, Britain, India and Mexico, they shared their findings and views while attending the 2013 International Conference on Climate Change Communication, Beijing.

Voices From Other Lands talked with both of them on the sidelines of the conference.
