Mothers caring for their children. There is nothing more basic or more primal. But life gets in the way. And when life leads a mother to crime, prison gets in the way. When a person commits a crime, prison has become the acceptable punishment. But what about the child of the criminal? Should they be punished as well?And is it punishment to separate the child from the mother? Or is it punishment to keep the child with the mother on the grounds of the Prison?
