In 2008, China's Ministry of Public Security launched a nationwide campaign to crack down on human trafficking of Chinese women and children.
The local Public Security Bureau of Zhengzhou has established an anti-trafficking office in the provincial capital of China's central Henan Province, which is a hotspot for the human trafficking trade.
The office has cracked more than 20 child abduction cases in less than two years, and caught roughly 100 suspected traffickers.
Despite increased law enforcement efforts, the trade still goes on.
