


Education is one of the most important sectors in any country. As the world marks the UNESCO International Literacy Day, two institutions have been awarded the UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy, a prize supported by the Chinese government, which is worth US $20,000.
The Government of Ismailia in Egypt and the Non-Formal Education Centre in Nepal are this year's winners.
