Drogba Poised to Join Shenhua for 400,000 Euro per Week

Didier Drogba, one of the world's best strikers, could be reunited with former Chelsea teammate Nicolas Anelka after French media reports saying that the Chelsea striker could sign for Shanghai Shenhua in a contract worth 400,000 Euros per week.

If the deal is confirmed, the 34-year-old will outclass his future teammate Anelka to become the highest paid football player in the world.

French television Canal Plus aired a feature film this morning revealing Drogba might have agreed a transfer deal with the Shanghai-based club on an annual salary of 20 million Euro.

A Shenhua news portal on Sina Weibo posted the French media's video clip, but gave no further information on the deal.

Previous news revealed that Shenhua has already reserved the No.11 shirt for Drogba when he officially joins the club, but reports also suggested talks between the two were still in deadlock.
