The Xinjiang Flying Tigers have aquired NBA draft pick Gani Lawal.

The six-foot-nine power forward out of Georgia Tech is being tapped to take over for Kenyon Martin, who left the CBA last week.

Lawal was waived both by the San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns in training camp.

The 23-year-old from Poland played only one game in the NBA earlier this year before tearing his ACL.

However, he returned to Poland in September after recovering, and excelled with his club team there, averaging over 16 points and nearly 12-rebounds per game.

It's unclear if Lawal is going to be in Xinjiang's line-up when they take on Fujian tonight.
