Real Madrid club said on Tuesday their star striker Cristiano Ronaldo is almost ready to return to full training after passing a test on his injured right ankle.
Real Madrid issued a communique confirming that the most expensive player in the World will resume full training alongside his companions this Friday.
That means he will not be risked in Saturday's Primera Liga at home to Racing Santander, but that he should be able to take part in Wednesday's Champions League match against Zurich.
More importantly, Ronaldo will be fully fit to play in "El Clasico" between Barcelona and Real Madrid in Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium on Sunday Nov. 29.
Ronaldo injured his ankle playing a World Cup qualifying game while playing for Portugal against Hungary on Oct. 10 and his fitness was only last week a source of conflict between his club and his country, which wanted him to take part in the play-off against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
After visiting the Portuguese national team doctors, Ronaldo was excused of international duty.
Ironically he will return to full training with his club less than 48 hours after Portugal defends its 1-0 lead from the first leg against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo on Wednesday night.
