The Shenzhen You May Not Know
2006-03-10 08:47:13

Lianhuashan (Mt. Lotus) Park

Located in the south of Guangdong province, neighboring Hong Kong, Shenzhen is a coastal city with beautiful natural scenery. It enjoys a typical subtropical maritime climate that ensures mild weather throughout the year. As the most famous "Special Economic Zone" in China, Shenzhen has long been considered a corporate mecca more than a tourist destination. However, the hustle and bustle of a modern metropolis is not the only prominent characteristic of Shenzhen. In a place where everything is supposed to "develop" as fast as possible (leading to the term known as "Shenzhen Speed"), visitors are encouraged to put on the brakes and open their eyes to the soft, serene, and subtle charms of the city.
