Luoyang is the second largest city in Henan Province. Although not a big city by Chinese standards, the establishment of the tourism industry has allowed the city a wealth of options regarding accommodation. Most of the hotels in Luoyang are located in the city with convenient access to most of the tourist attractions and commercial centers.

Luoyang is still, however, not considered by the Chinese to be an essential tourist destination, and many of the top level hotels have yet to set up business here. As a result, finding really high quality rooms is difficult. The best that Luoyang provides is probably the four star  Peony City Hotel, which is both convenient and well equipped.

Of the mid price range levels there are a few that could be considered, but the  New Friendship Hotel has probably the best facilities and is fairly convenient. The Peony Hotel and the Dajia Hotel are also fairly good deals.

For those on a budget, Luoyang offers a plentiful supply of cheap and cheerful dorm rooms or doubles. The best of these are located near or around the railway station. For a slightly more expensive option, the two star Luoyang Guesthouse is new, clean and with good access to the main sights in the city.
