White Horse Temple
Established in 68 AD, this temple is believe to be the first Buddhist temple built by the government in China.

Among all the caves, two stand out to me. I am impressed not only by the scale of the Longmen Grottoes, but also by the attention to detail apparent everywhere. After enjoying the sculptures, we step onto a bridge that spans the river. Even on the sides of the bridge are intricately carved Buddhas and lotus flowers.

Travel Tips
Situated in the west of Henan province, maily features with plain, hill and mountains. Train is the most common way to travel to Luoyang, a major stop on the Shanghai to Lanzhou Railway. The most popular is the Carp.Cheaper choices are Zhangji Roast Chicken and the Sour and Spicy Soup.
Luoyang has typical weather for central China characterized by distinct seasons, with Fall the most comfortable. Most of the hotels are located in the city with convenient access to tourist attractions and commercial centers. Bronze wares, palace lanterns and the tri-colored glazed pottery are all famous souvenirs in Luoyang.
