The 17th century Songzanlin Monastery is a must see attraction in your tour to Shangri-la. It is the largest temple of Tibetan buddhism  in Yunnan province and often dubbed the "small Potala Palace." The temple is considered to be a masterpiece of Tibetan architecture.
