Bird in focus: Eurasian Wryneck
When: August 2005
Where: Temple of Heaven
Photographer: Yang Hua

The Temple of Heaven is surrounded by many acres of pine trees. This amiable micro-ecosystem makes the park and its surrounding area a paradise for many animal species, especially birds. It is estimated that up to 50 kinds of wild bird species choose the areas near and around the Temple of Heaven as their home or stopping point during migration. This makes taking snapshots of China's diverse nature a scenic option during your visit to the Temple.
