A graduate from the Communication University of China, Zheng  Chenguang (Richard Zheng) has been with China Radio International for six years. As one of the most talented and professional young journalist in CRI's English Service, he had a wide range of work experience including reporter, news anchor, desk editor and most recently host of People in the Know program.

Chenguang has a sense for news. He worked in CRI firstly as a reporter, a job that enabled him to sharpen his journalistic skills and offered him the prerogative to jet off to different places to witness news stories first hand. He then worked as a news anchor, a stint during which he had a panorama view of world's hot-button issues. Later he became a desk editor, co-supervising news editing in CRI's News and Reports program.

Now Chenguang is the host of People in the Know, China's only high-end English radio interview program, featuring events that shape not only China, but the world as well. His in-depth questions and thorough analysis has become the style of the program. Guests of his program include prestigious politicians, scholars and experts both home and abroad.

Chenguang has a zeal for English. While still in university, he had been an active English speaker in China's national English-speaking competitions. The experience not only left him with national prizes, but also built up his confidence. He later headed a youth delegation sponsored by China Central Television to Canada. Chenguang is also a co-author of the book named "The Tactics to Success by Top Learners of English", which shares his English learning experiences with others. In 2010, Chenguang attended an interoperating program offered by the European Union in Brussels, Belgium. At the end of training, he received a certificate for interpretation in both consecutive and simultaneous categories conferred by the Directorate General for Interpretation under the European Commission.

Chenguang also has an enthusiasm for social affairs. He is an active participant in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Volunteer program. On the Launch Ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Volunteer Program attended by IOC chairman Jacques Rogge, he read out the congratulation letter from former UN General Secretary Kofi Annan on behalf of all the volunteers.
