F. William Engdahl is a well-known US-German prolific author who writes extensively on topics ranging from oil politics to the financial crisis, climate change to genetically modified food. He is also an influential political analyst, who is able to offer unique, in-depth observations on international politics, especially regarding China.
Engdahl was recently in China to promote his new book, "Target China" during the Beijing Book Fair. In the book, Engdahl analyzes the major strategies the U.S. is using to counter China's rise and offered his advice as to how China can respond. We caught up with him and asked him about this book as well as other previous works.
So what implications will the US counter-strategies on China have on China and the world? And what are Engdahl's other views on issues such as oil and climate change?
