Puppetry Workshop with Kids!

Chinese shadow play is an exquisite form of storytelling that originated in the Han Dynasty. Not only is it a captivating and lively form of entertainment, but it is also an elegant folk art.

In order to prevent the art from becoming a forgotten craft, the Beijing Cultural Heritage Protection Center (CHP) hosts an activity called "Sunny Shadows: The Ancient Art of Chinese Shadow Play", which gives Chinese children an opportunity to experience the charm of the art through both watching performances and playing with the puppets themselves.
