Earlier last month [July 15, 2010] the Rotterdam pavilion in the Shanghai Expo played host to the Greenpower Award ceremony. The event marked the culmination of a national competition to find the best environmental sustainable community project designed by school students. In total over 60 schools took part in Shanghai, Chongqing, Nanjing and Wuhan.
One of the main organizers of the project was the Shanghai-based Marinedream foundation, which focuses on promoting environmental awareness and conservation of the ocean through educating young people.
Managing Director of Marinedream Julie Adams joined Dominic Swire in the studio along with school student Jill Zheng, a member of the Greenpower award's winning team.
