1. China Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
A 128-meter long and 6.5-meter wide scroll bearing the famous painting "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", which portrays street scenes of Bianjing, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, is now on display in the China Pavilion. This dynamic version of "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" is 30 times larger than the original. Designed by modern multimedia techniques, the picture appears differently according to the amount of light available and the position of viewers.
This famous picture makes its appearance at China Pavilion to illustrate the charms of ancient Chinese cities.
2. Spain Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
The Spain Pavilion contains three exhibition halls which will take visitors through the development of cities in Spain, with the theme of "From the City of Our Parents to our Children". The three displays have been created by famous Spanish filmmakers from three different decades.
Hall Number One presents a scene from prehistoric life in Europe. Visitors will be taken back thousands of years to when early humans still relied on hunting and gathering as a way of life. Thousands of projectors will be used to render vivid natural scenes on the walls and ceiling of the hall.
In the second hall, visitors enter the modern era. Through five gigantic video screens, visitors will be able to appreciate the most charming parts of Spain's urban life. The footage has been created by the most accomplished documentary makers from Spain.
Leaving behind the past and present, visitors will soar into the future in the third hall. Currently, the spacious hall is still largely empty. But it promises to be the most fascinating section of the whole building.
3. Saudi Arabia Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
The Saudi Arabia Pavilion's main attraction is a huge IMAX screen. The 1,600-square-meter screen is larger than any other cinema screen on earth. Short films about the Saudi Arabian economy, society and natural scenery will be presented on the screen.
4. Germany Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
The highlight of the pavilion is a cone-shaped structure housing a revolving metal sphere, three meters in diameter and covered with LEDs, which will be activated by the noise and movement of spectators.
5. Italy Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
Four huge models designed by some of the world's top brands like Versace, Prada and Zegna are certainly a novel element of the Italy Pavilion. They contrast pleasantly with the other twelve normal models, which showcase a living example of the Italian style and way of life.
6. France Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
The France Pavilion exhibits seven masterpieces from the Orsay Museum of Paris, consisting of six paintings that include Jean-Francois Miller's The Angelus and Vincent van Gogh's Al's Ballroom, as well as a sculpture by Auguste Rodin.
7. Swiss Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
Visitors can get to the roof via cable car to enjoy classic Swiss scenery. The cable car will lift visitors from the ground floor where the exhibition focuses on Swiss urban civilization, to the roof where a tranquil space close to nature and far away from the crowd is provided.
During the journey, 50 binocular stations set up along the ramp will provide visitors with three-dimensional glimpses of innovative and sustainable Swiss success stories.
8. Mexico Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
The most eye-catching attraction here is the Mayan Ruins. A huge Mayan stone carved with the magic Mayan characters and some pictures, dating back some 2,000 years, will be on display in the Mexico Pavilion.
9. United Kingdom Pavilion: ¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï¡ï
The United Kingdom has brought to this year's Expo a new version of the 1851 Crystal Palace ¨C a dazzling cube covered in more than 6,000 slim and transparent acrylic rods containing seeds of different plants that were collected as part of a bio-diversity project.
