In the Spotlight. I'm your host Ning Yan. In today's edition, we will first have a review of last week's Art Beijing Fine Art Fair. The Chinese fine art market only has a short history of around 10 years and had been overlooked because of the over active contemporary art market. But its stable situation during the global economic downturn has won lots of attentions. The Art Beijing Fine Art Fair is just a convincing proof.
The First China Cartoon and Animation Artistic Exhibition was just concluded at the National Art Museum in Beijing. The 300 items showcased the country's best animated works since 1949. One of the most striking features of the event is its hi-tech elements.
Part I: It's My Turn, Says Fine Art
The global finance depression since 2007 has burst the bubble in the Chinese contemporary art market. In the mean time, the stable situation of the fine art market has attracted more investors and collectors. Last week, the Art Beijing Fine Art Fair kicked off, which has fueled the surge.
