8 Killed, 20 Injured as Passenger Bus Hits Landmine in NW Pakistan

At least eight people were killed and 20 others injured as a passenger bus hit a landmine in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Orakzai Agency on Thursday morning, reported local media Samaa.

According to the report, the incident took place at about 10:30 a.m. local time when a bus hit a roadside planted landmine in the Mashi Mela area of Orakzai, the only one among the seven tribal areas in the country, that does not border Afghanistan.

Security forces and rescue team rushed to the site shortly after the blast was reported.

All the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.
