France to Withdraw 1,000 Soldiers from Afghanistan by 2012

France will withdraw 1,000 soldiers from Afghanistan by the end of 2012, said French President Nicolas Sarkozy during a surprise visit to Afghanistan on Tuesday.
According to the statistics released by NATO-led International Security Assistance Force on May 16, there are about 4,000 French troops serving in Afghanistan, and most of them stationed in Kapisa.
