The Afghan National Security Directorate (NSD) arrested nine terrorists and a gang of kidnapers last week, spokesman for NSD Seyd Ansari said on Thursday.
"Four terrorists under command of Abdul Mutalib, were involved in organizing suicide and roadside bombings in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province and neighboring Helmand province, have been arrested by personal of NSD over the past week,"Ansari told a press conference here.
The notorious terrorist - Mutalib was arrested in Kabul while he planned to bring two other bombers and organize suicide bombings in capital city, he added.
According to Ansari, five other terrorist heading by Seyd Mohammad Ibrahim were detained in the country's eastern Nangarhar and Laghman provinces.
Two gangs of kidnappers including 12 outlaws who were involved in kidnapping people for ransom had also been detained by NSD in Kabul over the past week, said a spokesman of the intelligence body.
However, Ansari said that the terrorists were sent by Taliban but the outfit has not make any comment yet. |
