An international conference on promoting intellectual property rights (IPR) protection activities to serve the Vietnam's integration process into international economy opened on Tuesday.
The two-day conference was jointly held by Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Experts at the conference focused on many important issues including the role of IPR protection in socioeconomic development, policy and law development on intellectual property and IPR management in cooperation activities.
At the conference, the experts also discussed measures to enhance the commercialization of scientific research results to balance interests of government, scientists and businesses.
An effective mechanism for intellectual property rights would make great contribution to intensify research activities, encourage healthy competition and boost the Vietnamese economy to meet the demand of global economic integration, according to the experts. |
