Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West will miss five to six weeks for NBA games after suffering a broken right wrist in Thursday's loss to Chicago.
The Cavaliers lost 102-93 in over-time, falling from the best overall record in the NBA with their seventh loss against 30 triumphs.
The Los Angeles Lakers now set the pace at 31-7 with Cleveland, Boston and Orlando on their heels.
West was hurt in a first-quarter collision with Bulls rookie Derrick Rose. He landed awkwardly and needed stitches to close a cut above his left eye. He is not expected to play again this month and could be out until just days before the NBA All-Star Game break next month.
West averages 12.3 points a game and scored 11 points in the first 10 minutes against the Bulls.
