U.S. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon is continuing his visit to China to prepare the agenda for next week's summit between the Chinese and US Presidents in California.

Donilon met with the Vice Chair of China's Central Military Commission Fan Changlong earlier today to discuss U.S China military relations.

"The central part of building a confidential relationship, but building a new model of relations between great powers is ensuring that we have a healthy, stable and reliable military to military relationship."

Donilon also met with Chinese State Councillor Yang Jichi and President Xi Jinping, respectively yesterday.

Xi Jinping and Obama are set to meet at the private Sunnylands estate in southern California.

Now for more on Sino-US relations and the Chinese leaderships' recent diplomatic visits, CRI's Zheng Chenguang earlier spoke to Ma Zhengang, former Chinese Ambassador to the UK and current Chairman of the National Committee at the Council for Security and Cooperation in the Asia Pacific.

Back anchor: that was CRI's Zheng Chenguang talking with Ma Zhengang, Chairman of the National Committee at the Council for Security and Cooperation in the Asia Pacific.
