Four people were killed, and another 10 injured, after an irate villager drove his farm vehicle on a rampage in central China's Hunan Province on Monday, local authorities said.
The incident happened in Yinjiaxi township under Zhangjiajie city at 12:40 p.m,, when a man surnamed Tian got into a confrontation with a fellow villager surnamed Huang, whom he is thought to have run over, according to the publicity department of Zhangjiajie.
Tian is then suspected of rampaging along a road, mowing down 13 villagers within two km before being subdued by citizens and local officials arriving at the site.
Four villagers, including Huang, were immediately pronounced dead, and 10 others are being treated for their injuries.
Tian has been placed under police custody, and an investigation is under way.
