Some 140 school children from migrant worker families have visited the Beijing Aquarium with the kind sponsorship of volunteers at China Council of Lions Club who want to help these children learn more about China's ecological wonders and resources.

The Beijing News reported on Monday that the children from Mingyuan School, a school for children of migrant workers in Beijing's Daxing District, were given an educational tour of the Beijing Aquarium as well as a few gifts.

Volunteers taught the children about a variety of marine species, but, undoubtedly, the best part of the tour for the children was the dolphin and whale exhibitions.

The activity, initiated by China Council of Lions Clubs, aims to raise more social awareness for this disadvantaged group of children.
