
Potala Palace, the landmark of Lhasa, capital city of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is shown in this photo taken on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Named after Potala Mountain, the palace was first built during the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo to greet his bride, Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty.
