Expo Organizers Debut Volunteer Uniforms

The 2010 Expo organizers officially debuted the uniforms for the event's volunteers, the structure of the voluntary service booths and the volunteer theme song on Friday, as the country marked the 50-day countdown to the pageant, the Xinhua News Agency reports.

During the publishing ceremony held at a luxury liner in the Huangpu River in Shanghai, models displayed the white-green uniform for the Expo park volunteers and white-orange and white-blue outfits for the staff to work at service booths.

Visitors will receive services ranging from tour guides, language specialists to emergency aid at the booths located in major scenic spots, commercial complexes and bus hubs throughout 18 districts and counties in the city.

Soprano Tan Jing sang the theme song of the Expo volunteers ¨C the World at the Friday's ceremony.

The 2010 expo will open on May 1 and last to the end of October. 95 percent of the construction work has been finished so far and the whole project will be completed on April 15.
