HK Reports New Deaths of Influenza A/H1N1

Hong Kong health authorities reported on Monday two new deaths of influenza A/H1N1, bringing total A/H1N1 death toll in the city to 72.

The case involved a 77-year-old man suffering from terminal lung cancer, heart disease and hypertension, and a one-year-old boy.

The old man was hospitalized on Saturday due to cough and fever and died on Sunday. Sample test showed that he was A/H1N1 positive.

The boy developed flu symptoms on Dec. 1, 2009. He was hospitalized on Dec. 3 and diagnosed A/H1N1 positive on Dec. 12. His condition deteriorated and died on Feb. 19.
