65-year old Su Yuanren recently came to the media's attention for making his home in a tree for about a decade in Nan'an under the jurisdiction of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. He explained he feels better living in the fresh air.

The Southeast Morning Post went to Su's wife, who thought Su's living in a tree house enables him to guard their four cows more easily from a higher location.

Over two meters above ground, Su Yuanren's tree house is two meters long, one-meter wide and one-meter tall, and it's supported by four larger branches of the tree.

To enter his tree house, Su Yuanren would climb up a wooden ladder. In the little "bird nest", he has everything he needs to make his life comfortable, including radio, clock, fan, mosquito net, TV set and food.

According to Su, he often invited three or four friends up for some light-topic conversations when they drink together.

Despite big wind or rain, Su Yuanren adheres to living in his tree house. He said he would continue this lifestyle in the future.
