A fire drill was held Monday in Shanghai at Asia's largest bus parking garage that will be used to host about 200 buses during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Shanghai Morning Post reported.
A fire emergency response mechanism for the Expo venues was also initiated by the city's fire authorities, according to Catv.net.
A member of the city's fire bureau said the Expo venues will be protected by firehouses set up not only on land, but also in surrounding waters, and fire rescuers will be able to reach any site within three minutes. |
