A: Hello and welcome to Listeners' Garden here on China Radio International. I'm DS.

B: And I'm KF. To many foreign people, the mention of China conjures up an image of an ancient history and culture. Every year the country attracts a large number of visitors from around the world to explore its time-honored cultural legacy.

A: Yes, China is indeed a fascinating place for history and culture buffs. Many archaeological discoveries have served as witnesses to the ancient Chinese civilization. For example, the unearthing of the primitive Peking Man fossils and the terracotta warriors are regarded as two of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. They have both been added to UNESCO's world cultural heritage list.

B: Coincidently, starting last month, the two historical sites have been both undergoing an excavation project for further research and their better protection.

A: The ongoing excavation work has once again brought the Peking Man site and terracotta warriors into the media spotlight. So on today's program, we'll take an armchair tour of the two treasure troves and find out how the excavation projects are going.

B: But before that, as usual we'll first check our letterbox. Please stay tuned.
