Together with nearly twenty colleagues from CRI, I went to Jinggang Mountain which lies in the southwest of China's Jiangxi province on June 18th, 2009. I've never been there before and in my imagination it was a deserted and barren city. However, after arriving there, I realized that I made a mistake. I was deeply impressed by the fresh air, green mountains and natural environment.

What a boundless forest park Jinggang Mountain is! Wherever I went, I could see a variety of green plants and different kinds of animals. The melody of the cicada's songs brings us peace and calmness. In contrast with the hustle and bustle of life in big cities, Jinggang Mountain is a dreamland for relaxation.

The environment in Jinggang Mountain is well protected and we haven't seen any litter on our way around. Each local citizen considers it their responsibility to protect the environment. When we walked pass a tea shop, we saw the manager picking up some litter and putting it into a nearby litter-bin. I asked the man who's name is Guo Lanping whether there was any punishment if he didn't do that. He said no and it was just personal voluntary behavior, not only him but other people would also do the same.

The people there are very simple and friendly. Wherever you go, people will welcome you with a sincere smile. As a tourist city, the products in Jinggang Mountain are not as expensive as those in other tourism spots. It seems unnecessary to worry about being cheated and most of the products' prices are comparatively reasonable.

All one needs to do in Jinggang Mountain is to enjoy the natural atmosphere and relax!
