The second batch of Chinese humanitarian materials for Mexico City left the Beijing Capital International Airport early Monday on a chartered China Southern Airlines aircraft.

The Ministry of Commerce was put in charge of coordinating government agencies to arrange the delivery to Mexico of two batches humanitarian materials to tackle influenza A/H1N1.

It includes face masks, eye masks, gloves, disinfecting devices and clinical thermometers, loaded in 6,300 boxes weighing 70 tonnes.

The first batch reached Mexico on May 1.

The Chinese government on Wednesday pledged 5 million U.S. dollars worth of humanitarian aid to Mexico, including 1 million dollars in cash and 4 million dollars in medical supplies.

China's aid in cash has been transferred to Mexico along with the first batch of humanitarian materials.
