Lithuanian Simona Krupeckaite became undisputed star of the 2008-2009 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Beijing when she got her third gold on Sunday, the last day of the competition held at the Laoshan Velodrome.
Krupeckaite won the women's Keirin race by beating Chinese Guo Shuang, who got bronze at the Beijing Olympic Games.
It was Krupeckaite's third gold after she won the women's sprint and 500m time trial before.
In fact, Guo won the fifth silver for host China to increase China to get a total of 108 points, the most in the Beijing leg of the World Cup. New Zealand was second with 80 points and the Netherlands third with 72 points, followed by Lithuania, 66.
China added three silvers on Sunday, putting their medal tally to six including a bronze taken from Saturday's women's team sprint final.
Zhang Lei took silver in the men's sprint, China's best men's result in the World Cup and the first men's medal for the host. Zhang beat Michael D'almeide of France 2-0 in the semifinal and Australia's men's Keirin titlist Azizulhasni Awang in the quarterfinals on the way to the final.
China also won silver of the women's team pursuit Sunday after losing to New Zealand but was ahead of Russia.
Chinese cyclists, who improved lot in the World Cup Beijing, only got 41, 38 and 23 points from last three legs respectively.
China got silvers also from Wang Cui in women's points 20km and Gong Jinjie in women's time trial Saturday.
New Zealand won the women's pursuit Sunday for their fourth gold and most in the 16-event tournament.
Gregor Bauge got France's second gold after winning men's sprint.
Australian Toshiba team won Sunday's men's Madison. They beat Great Britain and German for team's second gold. Saturday, they took gold in men's team pursuit.
The tournament has attracted the top riders from 37 countries and regions to compete in 16 events, nine for men and seven for women.
