Hello and welcome to
Voices from Other Lands on China Radio International. I'm your host Zhou Jing.
Having a super power is a fantasy many people have in their childhood¡sometimes even when they're older. But it seems, in reality, the only way to realize the dream is to become a magician. That's probably one reason why Arnie Kolodner from the United States has been so fascinated with magic since he was little boy.
Arnie Kolodner started to perform professionally in New York in 1983 and was chosen as the 2003 "Best Family Magician" by New York Magazine. Arnie has played in many off-Broadway shows, while simultaneously building his own touring children's theater company. Over the years, he has established himself as a unique magician by presenting interactive performances that weave magic illusions into classic fairy tales including Cinderella, Snow White and Peter Pan.
Now Arnie is bringing his unique magical theatre to Chinese kids with his latest creation, the Magical School for Wizards. I caught up with Arnie Kolodner to talk about his theatrical works and his magical life.
You are listening to Voices from Other Lands. I'm Zhou Jing. My guest today is Arnie Kolodner, a magician from the United States. Time for a short break and we'll be right back.
