The craft beer industry here in China is witnessing its first-ever joint venture.

Beijing Great Leap brewery and Shanghai Boxing Cat have launched Yunnan Amber, marking China's first-ever craft beer collaboration.

Yunnan Amber is going to be distributed by Boxing Cat in Shanghai starting on Friday.

The beer's Beijing debut via Great Leap will come next week.

Yunnan Amber is being marketed as a reflection of both Beijing and Shanghai.

It's said to contain a taste native to China, as many of the ingredients are said to be not readily available elsewhere in the world.
