Anchor: The World Economic Forum, one of the most influential forums in the world, is holding its summer session in Dalian in Northeast China. CRI has sent a strong team covering the event. Yunfeng is there to tell us more.

Rep: Dalian is ready for the Summer Davos to open, a day before the forum's annual meeting of New Champions.

At the world trade center, the main venue for the forum, Organizers are busy with the final work.

"We are finallizing for the sound and the light for the venue."

Shuttle buses are scheduled every hour on the hour from the center to all the official hotels. Some of the buses are electric ones.

"The bus uses the electric power. It has no pollution at all since it does not use petroleum."
There are altogether 300 electric vehiecles running on the roads in Dalian.

About the accomodation, Shangri-la hotel is one of the official hotel welcoming most of the foreign guests. Liu Fengyang, the hotel's director of Communication, says the reception work is smooth, and introduces what's special this time.

"We have specially made Cheongsam, the traditional Chinese dress, for the welcoming ladies. We want the guests from around the world to know they are in China once they step into our hotel."
Feng Chao is a vlolunteer helping foreigners rent cars.

"I am in charge of renting cars. I have received many guests yesterday."

The foreign guests seems very satisfied.

Over 1,300 political and business leaders, experts and scholars from around the world are attending this year's Summer Davos Forum. They will participate in discussions about global economic "recovery and growth" against the backdrop of the international financial crisis. The discussions will also cover the hottest topics at present, including low-carbon economy, trade protectionism, deleveraging business models and lessons from the economic downturn. The forum will comprise more than 70 symposiums and debates including televised ones.

Antonie Simoes, from HSBC, is expecting much from the gathering.

"I think it's very important to have debates in disappointing times. I am working in finacing services. In terms of regulation and what are you expecting in the next months in my opinion is the most important thing.I am going to see some debates on these particularly being in China. I would like to see coodination work across Europe US and Asia on this."

The three day forum is starting from Thursday in Dalian, a famous tourist resort and commercial city in northeast China, which also held the forum's first meeting in 2007.
