Producers of the show, which include British Star Hugh Laurie, say it has been a painful decision to make, but decided it's time for the show to end on a high note.
Laurie also plays lead character Gregory House, a brilliant but troubled doctor well known for his unconventional bedside manner.
Since the shows beginnings in 2004, it has won nearly 40-awards including two Emmys and two Golden Globes.
It has also been rated favorite TV-drama at the People's Choice Awards for the past four years in a row.
