Chinese actor Wen Zhang will embark on his latest film project "On the Road", an urban romance that will be the first of its genre to be shot in 3-D format, Mtime.com reports.
With his experience starring in urban romances and a series of the same type of productions, Wen has become the image ambassador of films of this genre.
Some of the TV series in which Wen has starred, such as "Struggle" and "Dwelling in Narrowness", have received positive reviews, while his recent film project - the fantasy romance "Its Love", has earned more than 200 million yuan (US$31.4 million) in ticket sales.
China Juli Entertainment Media Co., Ltd., the production company behind "Its Love", said Wen would star in its new 3-D project "On the Road". A South Korean director will be in charge of this Sino-Korean co-production. A star-studded cast, including Huang Shengyi from China and Ji Jin-hee and Cha Su-yeon from South Korea, will join Wen in the film.
"On the Road" will be shot in Beijing, Yunnan Province and Seoul.
