Contrary to the tense pace of the crime thriller "Wind Blast" ("Xi Feng Lie"), the film's theme song is a slow tune written by indie-folk singer-songwriter Shao Yibei, Sina.com.cn reports.
In the English-language song entitled "Dust", Shao Yibei wrote, "You are just dust. And to dust you know you finally return. You are just a passenger. And to passenger you will be forgotten."
The poetic lyrics indicate the fate of the movie's main characters - a man on the run with his girlfriend, four detectives and two killers.
The music video features scenes of gun-shots and explosions in slow motion, and Shao's slow narratives on fate and destiny add to a feeling of melancholy.
"Wind Blast" stars Xia Yu and Charlie Young as the couple; Duan Yihong, Wu Jing, Ni Dahong and Zhang Li as the detectives; Francis Ng and Yu Nan as the bounty hunters.
The film is directed by Gao Qunshu.
Release in China is set for October 28.
