What is the reason that director Derek Yee states the actors Louis Koo and Daniel Wu look like they're falling in love with each other? And why does actress Li Bingbing cry as soon as hearing what the director says?
A press conference for the action thriller "Triple Tap" was held in Beijing on June 28th where it was announced that the film would hit the big screen on July 2nd. The director and cast members Louis Koo, Daniel Wu, Li Bingbing, Andrew Lin and singer Zhang Jie attended the event, sina.com.cn reports.

The two leading actors sometimes competed with their shooting skills and they even looked like they were actually in love, revealed the director.
Indeed, this is the fourth time that actors Koo and Wu have worked together; previously they worked together in the films "Born Wild" (2001), "Protege" (2007) and in the action movie "Overheard" (2009). Their fifth collaboration is currently underway in the Johnny To comedy "Dan Shen Nan Nv."
When asked why directors like to choose them as leading actors, even though both of them hoped to take a break from working with one another, Yee explained, "Andy Lau and Tony Leung seemed a bit older; Nicholas Tse and Shawn Yue were a little younger. Can you find actors more suitable for these kinds of roles in Hong Kong cinema today?
In the film, Li portrays a manager at a financial company. When Yee was asked to describe Li in real life, he said Li was strong, but inside she was a tender woman. As soon as the voice faded, a tear came out of Li's eyes. "It's very touching that the director understands me," explained Li.

Before "Triple Tap," Yee produced "Double Tap" (2000) in which the late actor Leslie Cheung starred. Although it is a different story from the last one, during the closing credits there is a dedication to the late actor which reads "The film is dedicated in memory of Leslie Cheung."
Some members of the Hong Kong press thought Yee was using Cheung to promote his film. This made Yee mad and as a result he removed the dedication from the Hong Kong version but kept it in for the mainland version.
Yee said at the conference that he didn't like people saying he "used Cheung". "Triple Tap" would not exist without "Double Tap." And he swore, "If I used Leslie Cheung like that, he would curse me when he met me."

At the ceremony, the two leading actors performed a gun fight scene with some fake guns. When asked about who was better in the gun fights in the film, the director said that both were quite skillful, but there was always one falling down. The theme of the film is more about competing with one's will and not their skill.
The director expressed confidently that the release of the film would not conflict with the World Cup, because both are enjoyable visual feasts. He suggested boys could go to the movie with their girlfriends after dinner, and just catch up with the games when they get home.
