Mainland actress Yan Ni poses for a group of in-style photo shoots as the 2010 Chinese New Year approaches.
The past year has been a great year for the previously low-profile actress. She won two best actress awards for her TV work in the first half of 2009 and extended her career to the silver screen afterwards.
She made an impressive debut in small-budget film "Cow", which received multiple nominations at the 2009 Taiwan Golden Horse Film Awards. Next came the lead role in director Zhang Yimou's commercial flick "A Simple Noodle Story", she moved forward as an A-lister in China's film scene.
Yan Ni will also take to the stage at CCTV's 2010 New Year Gala, which is seen as the sign of a star's established popularity.
