Alan Mak, co-director of the Hong Kong crime thriller "Overheard", says the film is made to remind people of the appalling outcome of being greedy.
The film tells a story of three investigators of a financial crime, who try to use the information they overhear to make money in the stock market, but end up in tragedy.
The film, led by Daniel Wu, Louis Koo and Lau Ching-Wan, opened in the Chinese mainland on July 24. It raked in 30 million yuan (US$4.39 million) on its opening weekend.
