Taiwan's "indie pop queen" Cheer Chan, whose concerts always attract full houses in recent years, enjoyed another sold-out show at the Hong Kong Stadium on Saturday night.

This is Cheer Chan's second stop on a promotional tour of her latest album "The Sun", which kicked off in Taipei last month.

"The Sun", Chan's first album in three years, was released on January 22 in Taiwan and has sold at least 40, 000 copies in two weeks, the United Daily News earlier reported.

The singer-songwriter will hit Shanghai on March 21. The event organizers claimed a 90 per cent sold out last Thursday and said they were negotiating a one more show on March 20.
