Winter is here and so the XinAn Hangu Pass would like to invite all to experience the culture of its ancient Silk Road from Han dynasty, more than 2000 years ago.

Located in Chengguan town in central China's Luoyang city, Hangu Pass is a strategic military pass built in the Western Han dynasty, which also played a strategic role along the ancient Silk Road. As the starting point of the Silk Road's eastern part, the XinAn Hangu Pass was listed as one of the World Cultural Heritage Conservation sites during the 38th World Heritage Conference on 22th, June 2014.

This ancient pass has been standing strong for thousands years, withstanding erosion and wars. Part of its heritage includes the main building and a wall, watchtower ruins, ancient roads and an ancient wall. Strolling around this historic site, its ancient history is displayed on every single brick. Therefore this grand pass will easily transport you back to the Han dynasty era for some great scenic views and help you experience the olden ways of trading along the ancient Silk Road.
