Over the past decade, the city of Luoyang in Central China's Henan province, has built a host of themed museums that have been demonstrating the city's colourful culture to its visitors.

Recently, a host of lucky international photographers took a tour of this ancient city's famous museums which they simply described as breathtaking.

Among the group of the more than 50 photographers was Sam Steven, an American French photographer. He was astounded by the sheer beauty of the museums and how they conveyed the local culture's rich history.

Clive Roland, a British photographer says:"I am a Luoyang's son-in-law and I am just amazed by the many things I can discover in Luoyang museums. They are so impressive, especially to the foreigners."

Most of the photographers come from the U.S., Britain, France, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. There are also Hongkong and Taiwan photographers. Their visits took them to four different museums including Luoyang Museum, Luoyang Sancai Art Museum, Peony porcelain Museum and the Peony Stone Museum.

While enjoying the distinctive Chinese historic culture, the photographers said they are eager to promote Luoyang's local culture to the world through the lens of their cameras.

The tour was organised as part of this year's 2017 Heluo Cultural Tourism Festival that was officially opened on September 22nd and came to a close on October 7th 2017, in Luoyang.
